Jacob Andrews is a horn player and commercial keyboardist based in Nashville, Tennessee. His work spans performance, recording, and educating, with a focus on versatility and collaboration across a range of musical settings.

He earned his undergraduate degree in Classical Performance from Belmont University under Professor Tara Johnson, where he is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in performance. His studies have included extensive training in solo, chamber, and large ensemble performance, forming a strong and adaptable musical foundation.

Jacob performs regularly with ensembles throughout the Nashville area, including the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra, Music City Brass, and the Nashville Composer Collective. In addition to live performance, he has contributed to a variety of recording projects, including work with the Grammy Award-winning band Old Crow Medicine Show.

His experience also includes featured orchestral performances in music videos for artists Cody Fry and Tommee Profitt—two musicians whose genre-blending, cinematic approach to music has strongly influenced Jacob’s own creative outlook. Their fusion of traditional orchestral instrumentation into contemporary styles has shaped his appreciation for innovative, cross-genre collaboration.

Outside of horn playing, Jacob stays active as a commercial keyboardist, performing regularly at church services and venues around Nashville. His background in both classical and contemporary music allows him to move comfortably between different musical environments.

Jacob maintains an active teaching schedule, working with middle and high school brass students through a combination of private instruction and school-based programs. He collaborates with several public schools across Middle Tennessee, leading sectionals, coaching ensembles, and supporting student development in both individual and group settings.

Through his combined work as a performer and teacher, Jacob remains committed to supporting music education and contributing to Nashville’s growing artistic community.
